Okay we are back... Yes, I told you all at the beginning I was not good at this. LOL. A lot has changed since our last blog. Chuck has started baseball as well as Derek. Haylee is back into soccer and well I got a different job. Same company, just new position. Baseball is underway in our house and going well. Derek has only had practices and no games, but I am sure that is right around the corner. Haylee has had 2 games and 1 tournament. Came in Second at the tournament and won both games 3-1 and 7-0, yes she scored in both games. Little man is doing really well in Spanish. For those that do not know he is in a Spanish immersion program at school. By 6th grade he should be fluent in both English and Spanish, pretty cool!
Mom is doing good. She has a lot of doctors appointments, but otherwise doing great. She does not know yet, we purchased her an airline ticket to fly to Colorado to visit her brother. She will get this surprise on her Birthday!! We cannot wait to give it to her.
Kids are excited, we are taking them to Disney World this summer. They cannot wait! Actually I don't think Chuck and I can wait either! I suppose we are like the commercial where the Dad can't sleep cause he is so excited.
I suppose that is enough for now. I will come back another day! Yea we got rain today!!! I have added pictures of Derek's baptism and of the Kiddo's out at Belinda's over Christmas!
Wow! What a weekend. Where to even begin... Let's just get it going. Haylee received a letter from the NFL that she qualified for Punt, Pass, and Kick competition, YEA!! This will be the first trip for us to attend a Pro Football game. Boy was she excited. Second news, our little man, well, he has asked God to come live in his heart. I could not stop crying for joy. I told my husband that my Christmas had already come and that I did not need anything else. Our kids are our life and I am so so excited to know that when God decides to bring us home, they will be going with us. Don't know who God is, let us know and we will guide you to him!!! God is good!
Well, how to start. We left on Wednesday 11/21 for Dallas around 2:15pm. We should have arrived in Dallas around 7:30, which is about a 5 hour trip from home. Well, it took us 9 hours to get there, YUK! We ran into traffic and construction and basically went about 8 miles within and hour and a half. CRAZY!! However we had some wonderful family time. This kids did great and it was hard to believe that they did not grip once. We went from 89 degree weather to 69 degree weather in a matter of an hour. By the time we got to Susan and Richards it was in the low 40's. Burrrrrrrr. Thanksgiving day was just awesome. The nieces and nephews came over and the kids played football, basketball and video games. They had such a good time; which includes watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation LOL. My how everyone has grown. I know my kids did not take long at night to crash and burn. We truly missed seeing everyone back home, but know that they had a good visit with other family members. We will be seeing you all at Christmas! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know we did! Love and kisses to all!!
Oh what a weekend! Derek and I along with my Mom traveled to Houston for my cousin's wedding reception. Gene and Kat were married up in Washington. Gene's Mom, Tammie, decided to have a Texas reception. It was great! We got to see a lot of my cousins and the kids had a blast. We even learned to Salsa!! You ask where were Chuck and Haylee? Do you even have to, Chuck was playing soccer Dad. Haylee's team had a tournament and unfortunately they lost their first 2 games 1 - 0 but then they won the third 2 - 1 with Haylee scoring the 2 goals. I have attached a few pics of this past weekend. Thanks for having such a great reception!! We Love you Gene and Kat!!
There is something in the way it sounds when we break out the off season football from the weight room that just doesn't sound right. "1..2...3...Chargers". "Hounds" sounded so much better. but like anything i guess I'll get used to it. When i moved from Deer Park and had to adjust to "hounds" it sounded strange then, but this is different. I guess that I haven't come to grips that this community is choosing to split. It makes me numb at times.
Chuck
Well, my husband has now got me hooked!!! Thanks to our dear friend Angie. I have always wanted to have a blog but too busy with kids, family and work to even get one started. I am no longer a football widow and I officially have my husband back. He is the one that got this started. I will try my hardest to keep this going, I think it is a terrific way to keep my family and friends updated on how we are doing, especially since we do not live close enough to each other. I hope all are doing well and enjoy the upcoming Turkey Day! Be careful to those who are traveling and enjoy spending time with your family and friends. God Bless!
This is my very first attempt in the world of blog! I am doing this for several reasons. 1) it is a good way to share info with family and friends and... 2) a chance to drop random thoughts into cyberspace. Both Cheryl and I will be writing here so this will be fun (I hope!!!!)
Thanks to the blueampu.net for inspiring us to blog away!!!!
Here are a couple picks of Haylee and Derek
